'The Rock' venue today
- Largest event venue in the Sandhills Region with a combined 700+ acres.
- Rockingham Dragway & Rockingham Speedway were recently purchased by small business owners. Neither venue is owned by a large corporation.
- The Dragway & Speedway are hosting events on a weekly basis.
- NASCAR & NHRA are targets for each venue-- however they need our support to bring these national events back home.
- Agreements with both speedways & surrounding properties, to host large scale festivals which would utilize 700+ acreage.
- Ability to host multi-day festivals with access to 5 lane highway, all zoning & permitting is in place.
- 400 full RV hookup campsites on site; approximately 3,000 dry camping sites available
- Recent events have boasted over 20,000 attendees daily include: Street Outlaws (Discovery Channel), Hot Rod Pro Tour, Apple Chill, Epicenter Music Festival.
Contact your local elected officials
- Encourage legislative support of the Rockingham Speedway & Dragway, with matching funds for facility improvements.
- Charlotte Motor Speedway and North Wilkesboro Speedway, owned by a large corporate entity, received anywhere from 4 - 9 million in additional speedway funds--Do not forget the Rock!
- Encourage Infrastructure Funding for Richmond County-- funding would include new pump stations, extend sewer line to the tracks and tie in approx. 70+ septic tanks to the new sewer/wastewater line.
- These investments create a marketable venue for generations to come. Modernization would bring additional jobs, taxable investment, and much larger events such as NASCAR & NHRA to the Sandhills Region.
- The combined venue has an attractive presence among music festival producers. A recent economic study -- shows an impact of $42million over a 3-day weekend festival.

We currently host racing, thrill shows, music festivals and concerts, scheduled tours, paintball games, camping, food truck rodeos, autocross events and high performance driving experiences. Did we mention racing? We host everything from Big Rig Racing Series to Kart Series and everything in between.
